Assignment Objective

• Propose scheduling solutions to ensure good schedule performance throughout the project. The assignment is mapped to PLO 8: Leadership, autonomy and responsibility.

I. The Scenario (A Case Study)

HERBALIFE is one of the leading wellness company, based in US with its global IT shared services known as Global IT Services (GITS) located in Malaysia has embarked on a new project to enhance its customer relationship management. This project will deliver a system which provides all the common functions that can be found in any typical Customer Relationship Management System

The project was scheduled to be completed within duration of 6 months from the date of commencement. The project is named as ‘HL CustomerForce Project'.

II. Issues:

As the project progressed, it was meeting its ‘high-level' milestones for the first two (2) months, and with four (4) months left, it was now deemed as ‘failing to meet its target dates', ‘not doing what it was supposed to do' and was ‘unreliable'.

III. Assignment Requirement

Based on the challenges presented in the case study, propose your solutions to ensure the project is able to complete on the scheduled finished date. Include the followings in your proposal:

1. Project Scheduling Issues - Critically discuss your observation on the possible issues faced by HERBALIFE that has contributed to the delay in the project schedule. Present your evaluation based on your observation.

2. Project Current Schedule - you are required to include appropriate activity relationship, resources and duration. Propose your justification on techniques applied for duration estimation. The project schedule could reflect a delay between 1 months - 2 months.

3. Project Proposed Solutions. Discuss the appropriate tools and techniques to solve the issues presented in the case study along with the proposed schedule to ensure the project can be completed on time.
