You are an HR specialist working for a large manufacturing company. In your role, you are in charge of the design and operation of Training & Management Development. Currently, your company only operates in the U.S. Your company's leaders just announced a major expansion that includes opening manufacturing facilities in the Philippines. To start up the new facilities as quickly as possible, your company will utilize expatriate employees from the U.S. as well as employees from the Philippines to operate the facilities. As an HR specialist in Training & Management Development, it is your job to guide your company's leaders on how to successfully implement Training and Management Development processes in the Philippines the primary cultural, legal, socio-economic, and other characteristics of the Philippines. For example, characteristics such as:

cultural norms, workforce characteristics, socio-economic conditions
languages, currencies, time zones
laws and regulations
levels of education and technology literacy
expatriates from the U.S. working side-by-side with local employees
