1. Over the course of two weeks, produce a written diary documenting your completion of the following tasks:

  • Actively reinforce workplace learning by encouraging personnel to expand their digital literacy
  • Organise, evaluate and critique information from a wide variety of textual material
  • Develop material for a specific audience using clear language and workplace conventions to convey explicit information, requirements and recommendations
  • Use appropriate, detailed and clear language to address key personnel and disseminate information
  • Use listening and questioning skills to confirm understanding of requirements
  • Collaborate with others to achieve joint outcomes, playing an active role in facilitating effective group interaction, influencing direction and taking a leadership role on occasion
  • Apply problem-solving processes when tackling an unfamiliar problem, breaking complex issues into manageable parts and identifying and evaluating several options for action.

For each diary entry, present a description of the specific scenario as well as what you did to complete the task. Each task should be performed at least once. Once all tasks have been completed, you will have a meeting with your assessor to submit the written document/diary and discuss the activity. Within this meeting, you will need to reflect on your performance, considering any strengths and weaknesses in your practice, and identifying how you can improve going forward.
