Reflective Report
Objective:
This assessment task requires you to critically reflect on two relevant work-related activities and present a summary of the actions and associated activities to evidence performance.
A brief description of the task:
This task requires you to watch the professional practice videos and write a reflection, focusing on 2 key ele- ments from the EA graduate competencies. These reflections should demonstrate your in-depth understanding of the graduate competencies and their utility to you as a future engineer. Hence, you should make clear why it is important to ensure that you are competent in all aspects of engineering practice and the role that CPD plays in this.
What you need to do:
You are required to submit an individual report of no more than 2500 words. As a rough guide, you should have an introduction about the engineer you are discussing and their career (as it relates to the subsequent reflection) of approximately 500 words, then each (2) reflection should be 700-800 words, followed by a con- clusion of 300-400 words. Your work should be detailed, clear and use appropriate language. You should pick examples that allow you to critically analyse what they did, including how they could have done the work better.
Assessment requirements:
• This assignment is to be undertaken individually.
Make sure that any analysis you present is your own work and not simply a summary of what is presented in source or reference materials.
• Use figures and tables sparingly and only if necessary.
• Use a basic and common font (i.e. Arial or Times New Roman).
• Use an appropriate font size (10 or 12 pt).
• Adhere to the word limit (2500 max).
Your submission should be in a simple text-based format, with an appropriate layout consisting of sections (with section headings).
