Assessment: Case Study Analysis
Assessment Details: Students are required to apply Strategic Management theory in analysing an organisation's strategic issues in a specific organizational context. There will be 4-5 questions to be addressed. The Case study will be uploaded onto Canvas at the beginning of Week 5. There will be a brief class discussion about the case studies and lecturer will address any questions regarding the case.
Active participation in class providing your comments, opinions, constructive and creative ideas and critical thoughts are key elements for this assessment. You are expected to come to the tutorial class ready and able to engage in class discussions regarding the case to be analysed.
All documents must be submitted onto Canvas and include a title page, in-text references and a reference list.
A. Critically reflect on strategic management as a process given the iterative and complex relationships between strategy, culture, ethics, structure, resources and environment.
B. Evaluate theoretical perspectives on strategic management and their implications.
C. Analyse the dynamic and contested nature of strategic management processes in organisational and industry contexts.
D. Develop insights to the strategic management process by applying different theoretical lenses to practical strategic management simulations and cases.
"NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced on Saturday that construction would be paused for two weeks effective from Monday, in a move that goes further than any previous lockdowns anywhere in Australia..........
The decision came after several Covid19 cases among construction workers, including three delivery drivers supplying materials to the WestConnex Rozelle interchange site last week. However, it has prompted an outcry from groups representing the construction industry and a call for the reinstatement of JobKeeper from trade unions. It is estimated the restrictions on the construction industry will cost the NSW economy around $700 million a week."
