1. CRITICAL DISCUSSION

Critically examining theory using relevant journal articles

Find an area of theory in the week's module that is of interest to you. Using AI, generate a critical discussion of this element of theory. Include two (or more) academic journal articles which focus on this content area.

Use the instructions on Moodle to create the content for this part of the assessment

A set of criteria will be provided on Moodle that you can use to create the AI core of this part of the assessment.

1. CRITIQUE
Critically examine each journal entry to uncover the failures of the AI in creating a valid and credible piece of work.
Read each journal entry. Find and discuss the errors within it. For this, examine the use of theory, examples, and references. Use the criteria on Moodle to critique Part 1.
400 words - each entry.

2. IMPROVEMENT
Use your critique in Part 2 to re-write and improve one section of Part 1.
300 words - each journal entry.

3. REFLECTION
a) Reflect on how the theory element (discussed in Part 1) applies in a real workplace setting and how it connects to your personal/professional experiences. (150 words)

AND

(b) Share your thoughts on the use and importance of AI in the workplace based on your experiences in this assessment. (150 words)

Journal Entries comprising:

1. This first part will be a critical discussion of an element of theory that was discussed in the module. This part will be 1000 words +/- 10% (for each journal entry). This will include at least two academic journal articles focusing on this content area. This will be written using AI, the internet and journal articles. You will have a set of criteria to help you in your use of the AI.

2. In the second part, you will critique the work that you have produced in Part 1, which will be largely based on your use of AI. You will have a set of criteria to help you with this critique. This part will be 360-440 words for each entry.

3. In part 3, you will write about how you could improve the workthe AI created. Much of your discussion in this part will be based on your critique in Part 2. This part will be 300 words (+/- 10%).

4. This part will be a reflection of two elements of the work you have done.
(a) One reflection will be a discussion of how this area of theory (Discussed in Part 1) might be used in the workplace and how it will relate to or will be based on your life experiences.
(b) The other reflection will be your commentary on the use and value of AI in the workplace based on your experiences in this assessment.

All parts of this assessment must be critical. They must engage with the espoused theory and use additional literature. At least two additional journal articles must be used for each journal entry.

In summary:
Students will complete four (4) journal entries; each entry is around 2000 words. Each entry will comprise a critical discussion, a critique, an improvement and a reflection.
