Event Management - Reflective Report
Aim: To enable students to reflect and develop their event management skills.
Learning outcome 1: Critically evaluate the key success factors of an Event Project.
Learning outcome 2: Appraise and apply the Event Project Management practices to successfully create, develop
and deliver an event.
Learning outcome 3: Identify target audience and potential sponsors, and explore different strategies to successfully package, market and sell the event concept.
Learning outcome 4: Manage all operational aspects of an event, in particular the Food & Beverage planning and service, human resources, venue set-up and decoration, event agenda, billing and entertainment
Organization and methodology:
Reflecting on the event mandate received from MCI during the second assessment (gala dinner for Vacheron Constantin), prepare an individual report, elaborating on following elements:
1. Teamwork and collaboration
Critically review your communication preference result and elaborate on how this effected your teamwork and collaboration during the event project development. Prepare at least 3 suggestions for your personal development to be more efficient in future.
2. Role and accomplishments
Summarise your individual role during the event project and list your key learnings during the project.
3. Critical review of the proposed project
Critically review the overall event project, it's strengths and weaknesses, and if you would like to propose any changes as per the feedback received during presentations.
