In terms of structure

It is a report but keep the structure to a simple business report. I would expect s content page an Introduction to the brief and the organisation briefly and then the main body which should cover both questions. I would also expect a concluding section. There is no need for an executive summary, keep the structure simple. You are likely to have appendices and again please ensure that you clearly number these and importantly refer to them in the main body of the report to ensure that they add the value that you intend. Its important to use headings, sub-headings and numbering through out. Please do clearly signpost your work - be clear.

Answer both questions in the main body

Critically evaluate the reasons for their current strategic position using both internal and external analysis tools. Ensure that you justify your choice of analysis tools.Use a variety of internal/external tools then develop them in appendices and bring in the main body the more critical ones. As this is a critical report one way to do it is by critically introducing each tool and then bring in some key examples for your chosen organisation in the main body. By critical I mean bringing in different views from different authors...please use journals. You must use internal and external tools minimum 2 internal and 2 external.

Identify the strategic intent of your organisation. You are being asked to discuss the impact on the actual organisation of having clarity instrategic intent so consider what are the advantages of this. You can identify the different stakeholders then undertake stakeholder mapping model to identify which impact it has over the strategic intent of the organisation. Remember you can do the full analysis in Appendices then Bring in the main body the most relevant points.
