Maya is a philanthropist. She is hosting a charity gala dinner. Her friend Wendy recently got married and Western Caterers (WC) catered the event. Maya was impressed with the food. She visited WC Instagram page which featured Wendy's wedding menu at $150.00 per plate. She contacts WC by commenting under the photo and says "I need this". WC responds "Done!" Maya plans to charge each attendee $500 per plate. Half of the proceeds will go to homeless children and half will be for Maya's personal use. Maya sends an email to WC with the following details of her event; Event - Charity gala dinner Guesta- 400 Venue- Hill Town Hotel Ballroom Time- 6:00pm- 10pm Menu - Exactly like Wendy's wedding plus 2 additional appetizers and desserts. WC realizes it's a Charity event and the cost per plate is advertised at $500 per plate. WC decides to charge double the cost advertised. They send an invoice to Maya for the cost of $300.00 per plate. Maya contacts them and is upset at the figure as that was not what they previously agreed to. WC pointed out that Maya requested 2 additional appetizers and desserts. Maya then requests the cost of one of each instead. WC reduces the cost to $200.00. Maya is still disappointed but requests WC bank account information and pays half of the total invoice as required.
