This assignment is based on the case entitled: "Seven-Eleven Japan (SEJ)".

Seven-Eleven have been exceptionally successful in developing a ‘demand-driven supply chain' through the implementation of new technologies. However, the food retail market is very competitive and constantly evolving. Seven-Eleven would like to remain ahead of the curve in the current e-business environment; thus, they would like to digitally transform their business processes. Produce a group report supported with the below questions and the given case study.

Assignment attempts to assess the potential business value that digital transformation can bring for Seven-Eleven in improving its logistics and supply chain operations.

Question 1: Critically discuss the existing digital maturity and operational challenges the Seven-Eleven faces in managing their supply chain operations.

Question 2: Conversion of data into information is central to value creation in supply chains; thus, propose possible Information systems/technologies that can be adopted by the Seven-Eleven to improve their operations/decision-making.

Question 3: Develop a digital transformation roadmap/framework for ‘demand-driven supply chain' by integrating multiple Information systems and Industry 4.0 technologies/capabilities.

Question 4: Critically analyse barriers for undertaking above digital transformation and possible approaches to address them.
