Question: To begin with we want you to explore the desirability and intent of an enterprise beyond profit, to show that you understand what it means to create value and impact as this type of enterprise.

You will choose an enterprise that seeks to balance purpose with profit that is providing solutions for the social issue/need you have identified.

Using the ideas, concepts, and theories explored in the first half of the semester you need to present:

- A completed value proposition canvas (VPC) for 1 key customer segment complemented by;
- The mission/vision/values of your chosen enterprise and why their approach is fit for solving the social issue/need you are focusing on.
- An overview of this 1 customer segment and why you think they are/should be a primary target market.
- An annotation for each section of the VPC, explaining your reasoning/rationale behind what you have presented for each section.
- We want you to demonstrate you know how this tool works but also understand the thinking that sits behind your approach to this task and how you determined what should be presented in each element for this chosen customer segment.

The Social Impact Project should aim to address a specific social or environmental issue, for example the homelessness and housing crisis in Melbourne, or barriers to employment for refugee women in Australia. By completing this assessment, you have demonstrated deep engagement with a social issue and critically analysed how social enterprise models can create value. This will help narrow your focus for your business model canvas.
