Learning outcome 1: Critically analyse the role of enterprise systems in the business process management domain and explain their selection, implementation, and application to support organisational activities.

Learning outcome 2: Assess process management skills and enterprise systems tools to develop practical and ethical solutions to resolve complex professional problems that support business operations and informed decision-making.

Task description: In Assessment 2 you will prepare a report on the industry sector organisation which you conducted an initial analysis as part of the Assessment 1 Planning document.

You are required to select three strategic business objectives of the organisation on specify business requirements, current business process flow, implement, manage and maintain a cloud-based enterprise system in an industry sector organisation assigned to you.

Consider data, process management and ICT governance including managing the cyber risks. What cloud implementations, cloud architectures (enterprise and business architecture analysis), Key business processes, Cloud implementation strategies can be adopted by Organisations.

Task details

Task 1: Executive Summary (100 words) Concise summary of the report in terms of three strategic objectives, current business and operational challenges, Future state business operating model enabled by a cloud-based enterprise system, cloud adoption readiness and implementation strategy for cloud-based enterprise system

Task 2: Introduction (300words) - Provide context of the
Organisation's history and detail the three key strategic business objectives that an Organisation is planning to achieve to remain ahead of the curve with its competitors. This should align with the core foundation of this course i.e. driving innovation, transformation, and growth through cloud- based Enterprise Systems in their respective industry.

Task 3: Review of the ‘AS-IS' or Current Business Model and associated operational challenges (600words): Critically reflect on the
Organisation's current challenges in strategic and operational business decision making due to an old Enterprise Architecture, outdated Business Processes management tools, obsolete and disparate Systems and increased IT operations and maintenance costs.

Task 4: Proposed ‘TO-BE' or Future State Business Operating Model (750words): List the Business's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and projected Benefits. And, based on the three key strategic objectives, prepare a proposed Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Management

System and a tool of choice i.e. a Cloud Based Enterprise System (ERP, SCM, CRM, HCM) to meet the proprosed Business Strategy. You can leverage frameworks like Zachman, RM-ODP, TOGAF or DoDAF.

Task 5: Cloud Adoption Readiness and Implementation Strategies (650words): Based on task 2 and 3, assess the Organisation's current Cloud adoption readiness and recommend a Cloud Implementation Strategy that can support the business to adopt a Cloud based Enterprise System successfully within its organisation. This should include implementation methodology covering planning, design, development, testing, deployment, training, change management and support of the future Cloud based Enterprise System.
