The Pre-placement report provides a background on the organisation in which you are undertaking HIE. Research on the organisation will assist you with your interview and when you commence work. Research should include information from the organisation's website, demographics, industry data, annual reports, brochures, information sheets, menus, reviews and other articles. You are also required to reflect on your personal strengths and weaknesses. You should keep your self-reflection answers short and include any other information that may be of interest and may be of use in preparation for your interview and when you commence work. This might include identifying your goals, potential strengths and areas for development during HIE. Finally, you should critically analyse both the organisation and yourself.

You should also include as an addendum to this report, one or two sentences that indicate the focus of your final report (TYPE A or TYPE B).
