Project

The student produces a thesis appropriate to their chosen route that describes:
Methods, tools and techniques used,
Evidence, arguments and conclusions about the project question,
Critical evaluation of methods and product.

Three types of evidence are assessed:
Working documents: proposal, contract, project plan and diary. (learning outcomes 1,2 3,7)
Interview: demonstrating the product or outcomes and answering to an informal viva. (learning outcomes 1, 4, 6)
Final written thesis. (learning outcomes 1- 7)
A more formal viva is required after the report has been assessed to allow moderation.

Law and Ethics discussion
Signed ethics forms from supervisor (without this you FAIL)
Project management discussion and evidence of it being applied
Logs (see sheet)
Reflection on the project
What worked well, what do differently, what learnt etc.

Thesis

Introduction

Critique existing products and System design e.g. interface, database, UML
Research design
Implementation
Code - how you did it errors - how you overcame these
Research procedure and results
Testing / study discussion (research)
