In a rectangular channel of width (B) 2.5 meters having Discharge (Q) 13.5 m^3/s. The slope of channel bottom (5) is 0.001 and Manning's roughness coefficient (n) is 0.012.

a Calculate the Critical Depth and Critical Specific Energy.

b Normal depth of Flow (trial and error method using Manning's Equation).

c. Also calculate the horizontal distance along the channel bed to change its depth of flow from (y,)3.0 m to (yz)4.0 m in one step only.

d. State whether slope of channel bottom (So) is Mild or Steep? Also state the type of Curve between (y,)3.0 m to (yz)4.0 m. [ e.g. M1, M2, M3 /51, $2, 53].
