Question: You have been asked to observe where critical and creative skills are utilised in the workplace, describe the situation, the people, the processes and outcomes and then to offer a critical reflection and analysis of the situation(s).
You are required to collect evidence of situations in your workplace where creative and critical skills are used to solve real problems or conversely describe situations where they could have been used but weren't. A description of the context is required plus a description of the processes (or lack of) used and the outcomes achieved. You then need to reflect on the process and offer a critical analysis of the situation based on personal understanding, knowledge and skills.
This task is due in week 6, however you should build on it over the course of the semester to record, analyse and reflect on situations that happen in your workplace.
You may cover as few as 2 and as many as 10 situations in your workplace, as relevant to your particular workplace circumstances. The fewer situations covered, the more complex/larger the situation/problem should be and the more in-depth the analysis expected. Overall word count between 1500-2000.
The purpose of this assessment is to identify where creative and critical skills were OR were not utilised within your workplace to solve real problems. Be sure to address the following:
- A clear definition of the problem, including context to demonstrate your understanding of the problem
