Students will research and complete a reflection paper that summarizes "College Brides Walk." An annual event held in South Florida by colleges and high schools in memory of Gladys Ricart, a woman that was murdered on her wedding day. The essay must include topics such as constructionism, power, hierarchy, social institutions, supremacy, privilege, institutional exclusion, class, labor markets, market values, discrimination, marginalization, democracy, cultural context, racism, sexism, and activism. Remember the essay is about "College Brides Walk," how it advocate service-learning and social justice. Essay will be 5-10 pages in Times New Roman 12 pt. font with 1 inch margin on APA style.
