My name is Vivian Torrez, a second-year student in SEU's Student Ministry Practicum. Im creating the Student Ministry Practicum program for Southeastern University SEU. I'm an Intern at SEU Southeastern University. I'm doing my Practicum part B. I'm conducting brief interviews to learn from your experiences in ministry-your best practices, key lessons, and how you've tackled real-life ministry challenges. There insights play a crucial role in helping me bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world ministry. Your willingness to share your experiences is not only an investment in my growth but also in shaping the future of ministry leaders. To have a moment to share key ministry moments with an SEU NorCal student in my second SEU Student Ministry Practicum.
I'm in my senior year with SEU NorCal and will be a powerful minister. I had a powerful interview with my professor Carlos Gonzalez. I had a interview with Pastor Chuck Cutsinger and team leader his wife Marcia Cutsinger. I had a incredible interview with Pastor Rich. This has given you a better understanding of their vision for the church and their ministries. I shadow the welcome center with Robin Aitchison. I met all the new visitors attending the church The House Modesto.
I'm a SEU intern and I'm working together to develop a new Student Ministry Practicum that provides opportunities for our practicum students to shadow all church departments. This allows a ministry student to take "book learning" into real-life experiences. This is not a "train to learn the position" experience, rather, a time to talk with those key people and learn how this department "fits" into the rest of the flow of the church. I'm learning the importance of each of these departments.
My overall practicum experience sounds like it is going very well. Im involved in a variety of different ministries, and learning a lot about how the church works and how to serve the community.
