Unfortunately, due to changes in the economy, your company has to institute cost cutting and needs to lay off 10% of their employees. You have various stakeholders that you need to notify including the employees, management and stock holders.

The audiences for the cost-cutting measures are different from the stock holders in the sense that stock holders will like this cost-cutting move because it will improve profitability for the company but this same news would negatively impact some of employees' livelihoods and morale. For example, if you presented to stock holders the decisiveness and speed of the cost cutting, it may come off as cutthroat to the employees losing their jobs. On the other hand, if you provide high severance pay and services to the terminated employees, stockholders may frown upon the costs.

In this age of social media, it would be easy for each audience to see the messaging that was created for the alternate audience. So how would you craft clear messaging to each audience, knowing that the messages need to be targeted to each of your targets, but also recognizing that if the messages are too divergent, it will look like you are being disingenuous with your plans.
