Assignment:

1. Watch the documentary, "Creating Freedom: The Lottery of Birth". You can rent it for $3.99 on Amazon Prime (and you can get free access to Amazon Prime as a student). The video "Creating Freedom" on YouTube is NOT the same documentary.

2. Go to equity.UCLA.edu and watch the seven videos listed under "Videos". They are all very short. If you can't find them, Google "UCLA implicit bias". The top link should be the correct one.

3. Visit Project Implicit at implicit.Harvard.edu and take any three of their Inherent Bias tests.

4. Write five hundred word essay in which you discuss the material, what you learned from it and what you found interesting/surprising, etc. (in two hundred words), then write another hundred words about what you learned about inherent bias that you did not know. Tell me about the three tests you took. You do NOT have to tell me about your personal test results. You can tell me whether your results surprised you. Finish with your thoughts about how the documentary and the information on inherent bias are related.
