Ashton Kennedy, is interested in starting her own healthcare non-profit organization in Texas. She also secretly hopes that she can turn this idea into her thesis. Ms. Kennedy's family has been afflicted by breast cancer. Ms. Kennedy's grandmother lost her life to this disease, and her mother and aunt are both currently in treatment for triple negative breast cancer. Ms. Kennedy, and her entire family, considers themselves breast cancer survivors. Ms. Kennedy also is known as a very vocal breast cancer advocate! She will talk about preventive mammography screening to whomever will listen. Although Ms. Kennedy participates in the various activities of several national non-profit breast cancer organizations, she realizes that she would like to pursue more advocacy efforts! She decides to contact an attorney to better understand the process of forming a non-profit organization in the United States. After meeting with Mr. Joe Lawyer, Ms. Kennedy realizes she has a lot of work to do to make this idea a reality.
