Sometimes mammalian tumor cells grow so quickly that they outgrow the formation of blood vessels and thus must grow with inadequate oxygen supplies. Given this situation, which do you think would make a better compound to pursue as a drug to attack such tumor cells, a lactate dehydrogenase inhibitor or a pyruvate dehydrogenase inhibitor?
