Question: LTC facilities must face a myriad of ethical issues on a daily basis. Currently, there several systems in place that provide structure to the way LTC facilities address ethical issues, but there are still some gray areas LTC administrators must work through to reach an ethical resolution. For this week's discussion assignment, you are to act as an LTC administrator presented with the idea of creating an ethics committee for your facility. In your initial post, you will state your position on whether you believe an ethics committee for LTC facilities should be created or not. As a respected, successful administrator, your opinion will serve as the catalyst for action across the state. Your initial post should provide a rationale for your decision, with appropriate support from outside sources.
