Question: If you were to create a mutant lysosomal protein in which a glutamine replaced an asparagine contained in the wild type protein (the mutant has a Gln where the normal protein has an Asn), you might find it fails to be transported to the lysosome. Why would this mutant not be transported to the proper cellular location?
