The Texas Historical Commission created this brochure to encourage travelers to explore sites related to Texas' Civil War history but there is no map showing where these sites are! but there are not really any suggestions illustrating specific towns and actual "stuff" that occurred there illustrations of women, soldiers, Sam Houston, and even an Indian-but not one single solitary photo of a slave! and they obviously put a lot of thought into explaining precisely what the Civil War was all about.
