Your assessment team has been working through the assessment plan that you will be presenting to the stakeholders. Part of this process includes identifying the specific assessments you will create to evaluate learning. Using the information from the scenario you selected, as well as the assessment planning matrix you submitted, make a document that lists every assessment you will use to assess learning in the training/course. This should be presented as a table that lists the assessment type, description of the assessment, and mapping to curriculum outcomes or objectives.
Your table should include 5-7 assessments representing at least 2-3 modalities. Be sure to thoroughly describe each assessment, and make sure you have assessments that map to all curriculum outcomes/objectives.
Scenario: An online college that provides associate and bachelor's degrees serves a variety of students through its programs. While the students come from diverse backgrounds, the majority of them are adult students who have been out of school for a long period of time. In addition, most of the students have never taken an online course. They do not know how to navigate an online courseroom or use university resources.
The college has created a task force comprised of IDs and SMEs to develop a new student orientation course that will help prepare students for their online programs. The course will be mandatory for new students and will include instruction in online course navigation, assignment submission, discussion posting, and messaging the instructor.
Learners will leave this course with the ability to:
Navigate university tools and systems.
Access their current class(es) and feel confident in accessing the necessary information for each week.
Use the online library and access research materials.
Contact IT for any technical support.
