STEP 1: Select a current topic or issue that you are passionate about and believe people should be more educated about. Do some background research, and then find at least two credible sources that provide more insight into that topic or issue. You may also reference information from national organizations that focus on your chosen topic. Here are EXAMPLES of some topics that have been debated in recent times, but you can pick anything appropriate:
Mental Health
COVID vaccinations/mask wearing
Global Warming
Sustainability
Universal Health Care
Animal Welfare
Recycling
Veganism
STEP 2: You will create TWO separate infographs/advertisements for this topic; one using the thoughtful (central) route to persuasion and the other using the spontaneous (peripheral) route to persuasion. Remember to include your references either at the bottom of the ad. Be sure to check the rubric for assignment requirements!
Please do not feel overwhelmed by creating these visuals. You can think of it as making simplified "posters" about the topic. You may design the posters in any of the following online mediums:
Canva is really easy to use and convenient because it has tons of free shapes and designs for you to use
Infogram is a fabulous tool if you want to include a chart or graph in your infographic
Easel.ly has some great pre-designed Infographic options to work with
Any graphics editor program you already have (procreate, photoshop, etc.)
STEP 3: Upload BOTH infographs/advertisements to this assignment as two separate documents. PDF or PNG will probably be the easiest.
