This assignment gives you an opportunity to set up your own blog and produce two relevant and thoughtful blog posts on that blog. You can set up your blogbased on the influencer you chose.Complete additional research and exercise critical thinking skills as you complete the Assignment.

Part 1. Research Free Blog sites. Select one that works best for you. Do not pay for any blog site, they must be free.

Part 2. Create a blogbased on the influencer(Megan Gilmore-Megan Gilmore • Instagram photos and videos). Make sure you fully complete your blog with all elements completed (blog profile, etc).

Part 3. Create two relevant and creative blog posts. Each blog post should be at least 500 words. A strong blog post has substance, creativity and personality. It recognizes that writing for the web is different than writing a homework assignment to submit in writing for your teacher. In addition to the 500 words in the posts, you can use visuals.

Part 4. Some tips in writing your blog posts - see the Rubric for more information:
a) Your writing should inform, interest, or prompt thinking in a reader.
b) Has the entry engaged directly and fully with the topic?
c) Does it address the topic in a thoughtful, probing way?
d) Does it explore fully enough and dig deep enough to get to engaging insights?
e) Does it demonstrate critical thinking and analysis?
f) Does it employ examples and details to enliven the post and support/illustrate claims?
g) Does it link with other conversations going on out in the world, encourage interactivity? (for instance, reference other blogs, other informational sites, other articles.)
h) Is there a useful title to guide the reader?
i) Is the language clear, concise, and easy to understand? Does it avoid pointless repetition?
j) Does the post strike an appropriate tone (exploratory but not rambling, with a voice that reflects the writer's personality)?
k) Is the writing chunked up into small, accessible, and coherent paragraphs (or is it a long series of sentences that may not follow from one another)?
l) Are creative and useful design features included (e.g., headings, pictures, links)? (images are not required. Please describe what the photo would be.)
m) Are sentences well-crafted and the writing proofread?

Part 5. Complete this template with the information below, including the URL to your blog, title of your blog and the rationale of why you chose that blog site.Please note the URL will NOT necessarily be the link that you use to access the site, ensure you upload the public URL - your actual blog address so that it is viewable for your instructor. If it cannot be viewed when grading, it cannot be graded.

Part 6. When you have completed your blog posts, please take screen shots of your blog posts or print pdfs to upload to the folder along with this template.
