Create a timeline of your important life events. These events, whether we want them to or not, impact our career decision making. Sometimes seeing our life events in this form can help, or hinder us in our career decision making.

Write a timeline from birth to present. On the line make a dot with a date (or your age) and the event of significance; births, deaths, moves, graduations, new friends, losing friends, new hobby, start or loss of jobs, etc. These events shape our values and the decisions we make. They affect the confidence we have in ourselves and for decision making. They can affect what job choice you will make.
