Create a Statement of Strategic Intent for an organization. This organization can be a current or past organization that you worked for or an organization of your choosing. The strategic intent provides a sense of direction, sense of discovery, and a sense of destiny or opportunity that the strategic leader uses to communicate to the organization. It identifies today's problems, the current vision and mission, but focuses more on the opportunities of tomorrow. The strategic intent is the organization's vision, mission, goals, values, objectives and plans of what it wants to achieve in the long term. The strategic focus is the starting point for developing a statement of strategic intent. A statement of strategy must then become a statement of strategic design through which the principles, processes and practices of an organization are developed.
