She has gained three pounds since she became pregnant. She is a second generation Haitian living in the midwest in a rural town. LY has been married to GY for 7 years. She works full time as an IT consultant but has to drive 45 minutes to get to her job. LY is a vegetarian and practices Haitian Voodoo. LY and GY are nervous about this pregnancy as she has mitral stenosis and is concerned there can be complications. She currently takes Verapamil XR 100 mg daily and metoprolol 25 mg BID. Fundal height measures at 8 cm. BP 120/72. Pulse 86 RR: 17 SPO2: 97% RA Prepregnancy weight: 135 pounds.
