Unfortunately, you do not have a staff as systems manager. You are the go-to person when it comes to all of ELI's technology needs. That means you will be initiating the requirements analysis and development process for this project. You want to clearly organize your thoughts so you can make the most efficient use of your time.

There are four end-user constituents within ELI: the purchasing manager, operations manager, marketing manager, and personnel manager. Each functional manager has his or her own ideas about how a centralized system would fit his or her needs as a business process owner. Politically, you believe it is critical that each of these stakeholders accept your ideas and are deeply involved with all aspects of this project.
