Within a narrative, conflicts will be categorized into dissimilar types. Here are some of the most general types of conflict.

man vs. man:
This kind of conflict is a struggle between two humans (not essentially males). It is a resist where strength of mind and body will help one victor over the other.

man vs. nature:
This kind of conflict is where one human is challenged by the forces of nature-classically a storm or other weather condition.

man vs. society:
Society refers to the general public or the laws and expectations of a community. Sometimes a person will battle with the expectations and views of his/her surroundings.

man vs. supernatural:

The supernatural often appear as Gods, spirits or ghosts. Quite often you will see this type of conflict in mythology.

man against himself:

This struggle is the internal struggle that was talked about in the introduction to conflict. It is typically one person struggling with a decision or choice.
