Each student is required to plan, create and submit a recorded presentation and associated slide material. It can be using Powerpoint or other video/ slide platforms.

For this assessment, you will be required to research one Social determinate of health associated with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and develop a Health promotion activity to discuss and present.

Some suggestions could include;
o Suicide prevention
o Diabetes
o Otitis Media
o Substance use/abuse
o Mental Health

Your thinking should not be limited to the list above however you can utilize one of these topics if you wish.
You are to address the following topics within your presentation;
Introduce your topic and activity title (be creative)
Who is your intended target audience?
What is your intended message to your target audience?
What are the overall aims of your health promotion activity (raising awareness, reducing incidence, education)
Please include Academic literature to support the development of your activity (references), I would suggest a minimum of 5 Academic references should be utilised within this assessment.
Students are not required to seek a solution to the issue they are exploring. Students are required to demonstrate their understanding of the issue they are exploring.

GUIDELINES FOR THE PRESENTATION.
The following general guidelines for the production and submission of the recorded presentation.
Length of presentation: 10 minutes (maximum)
The presentation must be clearly visible and sound quality should be clear - a muffled voice or poor picture quality is unacceptable; and
The presentation will be uploaded to the Canvas site for marking. Therefore, the file must be easily viewed on Canvas and not require specialised software for access.
