Task # 1 Submit a work proposal for this assignment by the end of week 4th i.e. 3rd November, 2018 (11:59 pm) which must include:
- Understanding of deliverables - a detail description of deliverables
- General overview of proposed plan - initial understanding of solution for the task-2 and task-3.
- Resources identified

The work proposal must be submitted in a word file through the Turnitin link available in Moodle.

Task # 2 The Muscat Bank is one of the largest banks in the Middle East region. It is operational since 2002 providing services to its customers round the clock. It offers many financial services including savings, deposits, loans, credit cards etc. It has a large customer base of around 1.5 million. One of the key requirements of the Muscat Bank is availability of data.
a) As a Database Administrator, suggest a relevant database management system (DBMS) for Muscat Bank. Your solution must include comparison of at least 3 relevant DBMS with valid examples.

Note: Solution must be written in your own words and should not exceed 3 pages.
b) As part of providing data security for Muscat Bank database, demonstrate practically the steps involved in user level/tablespace data backup and recovery.
* You must create a user as your first name (e.g. Ahmed), provide appropriate privileges for creating table(s) and insert records. Your solution must include brief explanation of all the parameters and SQL
commands and screenshots showing the steps.

Task # 3 a) The web link to the following research paper is given in the college Moodle web page:
Sapna Jain, M Afshar Alam, Comparative Study of Traditional Database and Cloud Computing Database, International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Science.
Compare the traditional database environment with cloud databases. Solution should also include security concerns in a cloud databases. Note: The solution must be given in your own words with relevant examples not exceeding 2 pages. The given research paper is for your reference only and your answer should not be limited to this research paper only. You may refer various other resources and provided references for the same.

b) Create three users in a database e.g. user1, user2 and user3 and grant basic privileges to create tables and execute the code. Create any table (e.g. T1) by connecting to the database as user1. As a high privilege user e.g. System give the following permissions to user1 and user2:
- User1 should be able to insert and update records on table T1
- User2 can access the table T1 records for read only purpose.

- Both user1 and user2 should not be able to delete records from table T1.

Note: Your solution must include the necessary SQL commands (as screenshots) with brief explanation for each of the commands.
