Objective: The objective of this assignment is to empower students to create an interactive study tool that covers major topics per chapter in their chosen course. The study tool should help fellow students understand and review the key concepts, principles, and important information from each chapter in an engaging and effective manner.

Instructions:

You will submit each topic choice and the study tool to the corresponding Module Assignment.  As you submit topics your instructor will provide feedback and approval or denial and coaching.  Check your assignment feedback regularly.  You may submit your tool in development for instructor review and feedback through the semester.  Tools can be resubmitted multiple times and will not be considered final for grading until the final day of the semester.   

  1. The student will identify the chapters or major topics covered in the chapter and choose one main topic for each chapter and will submit that topic for approval and feedback throughout the term.
  2. Study Tool Format: a. Students are encouraged to be creative and choose any digital format for their study tool, such as a mobile app, website, interactive PDF, or multimedia presentation. b. The study tool should be visually appealing and user-friendly to enhance its effectiveness.
  3. Chapter Coverage: a. For each chapter or major topic in the chosen course, the study tool should include concise explanations, diagrams, charts, or other visual aids to aid understanding. b. Important formulas, equations, or definitions relevant to each chapter should be highlighted. c. Include relevant examples, case studies, or real-world applications related to the topic.
  4. Interactivity: a. The study tool must include interactive elements to engage users actively. b. Features like quizzes, flashcards, drag-and-drop exercises, or interactive simulations are encouraged to reinforce learning.
  5. Accessibility: a. Ensure the study tool is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. b. Implement appropriate color contrast, alt text for images, and other accessibility features.
  6. Citations and Sources: a. Properly cite and reference all sources used for gathering information or multimedia elements in the study tool. b. Use credible academic sources, textbooks, and reputable websites to ensure accuracy.
  7. Presentation and Demonstration: a. Each student will present their study tool to the class. b. The presentation should demonstrate the functionality and effectiveness of the study tool in helping students grasp complex concepts.
  8. Submission: a. Students will submit their final study tool in a shareable format or provide access to their hosted platform. b. Along with the study tool, include a document describing the design choices, challenges faced, and how the tool addresses the specific learning needs of the course.
  9. Evaluation Criteria: The study tools will be evaluated based on the following criteria: a. Clarity and comprehensiveness of content for each chapter. b. Effectiveness of interactive elements in reinforcing learning. c. Visual appeal, user-friendliness, and accessibility of the study tool. d. Integration of relevant examples and real-world applications. e. Proper citations and use of credible sources. f. Creativity and originality of the study tool.
