In three sentences or less, describe how we evaluate a function.

A brief definition of a straight line graph is a linear function of the form y = mx + c, where c and m are constants.  Although you do not actually see the function written out, many professions use a straight line graph.

Name one profession that use a straight line graph and tell how it is used.

f(7) = 10x + 5x - 4

f(3a) = 2(3a) -2(3a) + 4

y = 3x + 1

4x + 2y = 16
