Question - Adobe Express Worksheet
Description - NOTE: Adobe Spark was recently renamed Adobe Express. Applications' website features are frequently updated, ie name or location of a button or tool, so the video demos for course assignments may not be an exact match to the current product. The numbered written assignment instructions have updates included. In addition to following the video demos, ALWAYS check the written assignment instructions for the most current updates and the required assignment tasks. Again, features change very frequently on the sites we use, so I greatly appreciate your patience when completing our assignments and with me.?
Adobe Express is a free program for creating web posts, pages and videos. We can use these posts and videos with other applications later in the course. First, we will create an Adobe Express account, if you don't already have one. And then, we will use our subject to create a post and copy/paste the post's link into this assignment for grading.
You will need to have several images (without text unless it is a logo) that are relevant to your subject, ie product, related images, logos, etc. Please have these images in a folder for this class. If you have created a Google account for this class, you can save them to your Google Drive. You can use personal images or images you find online; just be sure that they do not have copyright restrictions and are appropriate images. Stock Photography Websites and Amazing Sites with Breathtaking Free Stock Photos offers several sites with free images you can download. And we will be adding sites for free images to our Images and Videos Discussion.
Watch Adobe Express Post Assignment Instructions to review the assignment instructions video. And go to Adobe Express to create your account and begin working in Adobe Express. KEEP ALL WORK UNTIL THE CLASS IS OVER. WE WILL USE THIS AGAIN.
Click purple + button to start a new Express object. Select Instagram Post from the menu as the type of post you will create using Adobe Express. You are NOT opening or posting this object to Instagram. You are just creating the object of a post. Do not use a Template.
Click Photos from left menu and select a photo from your subject photo collection or Adobe Stock photos. This post must contain a relevant image
Click Photos from left menu and select a photo from your subject photo collection or Adobe Stock photos. This post must contain a relevant image.
The post must contain at least ONE text object about your subject, click Text from left menu. If there is text contained in the image, ie the image is a sign with words, you still need to add a TEXT object from Express.
Title the post by editing the name of My Project in top menu
You will use the Share feature in Adobe Express to create and copy the URL for your post. With Adobe Express, you can Download objects to have the files on your computer. However, you will need to Share the post's URL for our assignment. Select Share and Publish. Then select Link. After the link is created, select Copy and paste that URL to our assignment. YOU MUST USE THE SHARE FEATURE TO COPY THE POST'S URL. Do NOT copy the URL directly from the browser. This URL will be copied into this assignment for grading.
Copy your Adobe Express Post's URL in Adobe Express. Check the URL in a different browser to confirm it is correct and actually opens your project. If you submit the wrong URL, it delays grading.
