Convert the following

1. Create a table to convert mm, cm, m, in, ft, yds, miles to mm, cm, m, in, ft, yds, miles using given factor

Factors

1m= 100 cm

1m= 39.37 in

1m= 3.28 ft

1m= 0.000621371 mile

1m= 1.09361 yard

1m= 1000 mm

Sample output:

Convert to mm cm m in ft yds miles

Part 2 Design Challenge – Statistics – Excel Spreadsheet The linked spreadsheet with precipitation data, in inches, as a function of year.

1) For the precipitation data on this spreadsheet, answer the following (this must be worked in a spreadsheet such as Excel):

A) Average Precipitation

B) Standard deviation

C) Coefficient of Variation

D) Maximum precipitation and year of occurrence

E) Minimum precipitation and year of occurrence

2) Create a graph of the data for the years 1550 to 1650. Place years on the  horizontal axis and precipitation, in inches, on the vertical axis. Graph with a solid line with no markers, and make the line red. If you do not have access to a color printer, you can still print in gray scale. Place the graph on a separate sheet, and choose a meaningful, descriptive title for the graph.

Set up your spreadsheet so that only the numerical answers are shown (summary page)– include graphs!

NOTE: - Pay attention to units and significant figures! Also, pay particular attention to organization and format. Make sure that all required information (ENGR 100; Section #; Homework XX; your name; and submission date) are labeled on the spreadsheet.

Part 3 Design Challenge – Regression Analysis – Excel Spreadsheet Farmers in Elephant Butte Irrigation District (EBID) grow several different crops, changing with both time and location. The attached spreadsheet provides acreage for the  three biggest crops, alfalfa, cotton, and pecans for the period 1953-2008. From these data, develop two linear models: one relating acreage of cotton to acreage of  alfalfa, and the other relating acreage of cotton to acreage of pecans. If C is acres of cotton, A is acres of alfalfa, and P is acres of pecans, these models would be:

C = m1A + b1 Estimate of cotton acres as a function of alfalfa acres (model 1)

C = m2P + b2 Estimate of cotton acres as a function of pecan acres (model 2)

Determine:

A) Slope, m, for both models.

B) Intercept, b, for both models.

C) Standard error, s, for both models. for both models.

E) Which regression model best predicts cotton acreage? Explain your answer.

Through Canvas, Three Pages set up properly with the following: One with the numerical answers and two with the two graphs. Make sure that when I open that sheet that your content is already set, and I am not searching for your work.

Page 1: It should include all regression analysis data in an Excel generated matrix. Make sure to distinguish between the two models, (1) and (2). Do not print the acreage data, just the regression analysis results. Page 2: A graph of cotton acreage as a function of alfalfa showing the observed data as points (markers only, no line) as well as the regression line. Include the regression equation and R2 using the standard error as the error.

Page 3: A graph of cotton acreage as a function of pecans showing the observed data as points (markers only, no line) as well as the regression line. Include the regression equation and R2 using the standard error as the error. NOTE: - Pay attention to units and significant figures! Also, pay particular attention to organization and format. Make sure that all required information (ENGR 100; Section X; Homework XX; your first and last name; and submission date) shown on all spreadsheet pages.in the graph. In addition, include vertical error bars for all data points,in the graph. In addition, include vertical error bars for all data points,using the standard error as the error.

NOTE: - Pay attention to units and significant figures! Also, pay particular attention to organization and format. Make sure that all required information (ENGR 100; Section X; Homework XX; your first and last name; and submission date) shown on all spreadsheet pages.
