Design The Delivery System

You will integrate the results from your needs assessments in module one and module two to create a responsive and effective counseling program to support the ASCA competencies and standards prioritized by the assessments, etc. Here you will translate the competencies and standards into actual instructional and appraisal opportunities for students (and other stakeholders) at your school.

ASCA has a four part delivery system: guidance curriculum, individual student planning, responsive services, and system support. However, for this assignment you will only complete Guidance Curriculum and Responsive Services.

Each of these parts can be delivered to the school community in a variety of ways, for example, the guidance curriculum may be delivered through classroom instruction, small group counseling/discussions, presentations to parents and guardians, large-group assemblies, and collaborative planning and coordinating of instruction with other school personnel. Individual student planning can also take place individually, small groups, large groups; responsive services can be provided through individual, small group, consultation, peer facilitation and referrals to community resources; system support through consultation, outreach, advisory council, in-service training. In this module, you will do the following:
