In Module 5, you will submit a research paper assignment. This paper will be based on an original topic on Training & Human Resource Development from the book. After selecting a topic, you will research and write a 5-7 page paper (not including the cover page and citation page) in APA format.

To receive topic approval, you must send an email to your instructor by Module 2 indicating your topic. Even though this is a research paper assignment, you should avoid directly quoting large chunks of information word-for-word. Whenever possible, paraphrase and synthesize the information in your own words; be sure to still quote the reference you used.

This individual assignment will be worth 225 points towards the overall grade for the course. See the grading rubric for the individual research paper in your syllabus.

All papers should be typed, spell-checked, grammar-checked, Times New Roman, 12-point font submitted double-spaced, and prepared with references in proper academic format, using the APA style. There is an APA Learning Unit in Tools and Resources to provide guidance for formatting your assignments in APA style.

This assignment is designed to increase your learning to the highest level by requiring you to utilize knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. By the end of Module 8, you will submit your final Training Proposal in which you create a proposal emphasizing the training process model and each phase in detail.

Overview of the Company:
"Dynamic", a computer company similar to Dell, was established in 1992. When Dynamic first started their business, they based their strategy, culture, mission, and vision on the idea that "employees are the greatest assets". Employees were valued, motivated, and went the extra mile to make sure customers were satisfied and productivity goals were meet. Management had an open door policy and encouraged their employees to discuss any matters with them. In addition, since the company's culture fostered learning and development, management provided professional growth opportunities by cross-training and mentorship. Dynamic's business strategy enabled the company to have competitive advantage and to expand globally.

Somewhere in the process of expansion, the company's original business strategy and mission diminished. Leadership at Dynamic now is more focused on increasing profit and global expansion; thus, is neglecting the needs of their employees. Employees are dissatisfied with the company and how it has changed over the years. With employee morale and productivity rapidly decreasing, customers are becoming dissatisfied with the service and have started to purchase products from other companies. In order to save Dynamic, the CEO has hired a consulting firm to provide a training proposal that will bring back the unity and business strategy/culture that had propelled Dynamic's growth and differentiate themselves from their competitors.

Your assignment is to decide on a name for your consulting firm and to create a training proposal for hourly employees, professional employees, and managers and to explain how it supports the company mission/strategy/key issues. The training proposal needs to emphasize the training process model and each phase in detail.

Your proposal should include the following:
– Brief description of your own Training and Development Consulting Company
– A discussion of how you would conduct a Needs Analysis
– Your recommendations for types of training programs you would conduct for hourly employees, professional employees, and managers
– Explanation of how your recommended training programs support the company mission/key issues
– Defense of your recommendations based on management theory/theories (such as social learning theory, reinforcement theory, etc.)
– A discussion of how you would validate the training you recommend
– Explanation of how you would evaluate the effectiveness of your training programs

Your proposal should be at least 10 pages in length, not including the Abstract. The proposal must be in proper APA format, including all citations. Use at least five resources in your proposal.
