1. Study a variety of crowdfunding web sites (See attached Crowdfunding List or find one not on the list.)

2. Choose a start-up venture that you find personally interesting.

3. Using the Product Haiku template found in the Crowdfunding Section on D2L, create a product haiku that describes this venture.

4. If you have not watched the Joe Start-up Video Module - PRODUCT HAIKU, this would be a good time to do so. Also see your Joe book for an example.

5. Include the following information in your haiku:

Company Information:

Name of company. Number of days on crowdfunding site. Target dollar amount. Amount of money raised to date.

Describe the problem being solved.

Product or Service Information: Describe the product or service.

List at least three key features (tangibles) and three key benefits (intangibles)

Customer/User: Who is the target market(s)?

Competitive Advantage.

What is unique about the product/service or, if the product/service is not unique, what is its competitive advantage compared to others in the same market?
