Assignment Description Step One: Visit the website and read the patient safety and risk management plan.

Review other risk management and resources as desired (See student resources)

Step Two: You have just hired of the HIM director. While meeting with the Risk Manager, the Risk Manager has informed you that the HIM department has no risk management nor patient safety policies in place. One of your first job duties is to create at least one risk management policy and one patient safety policy.

Using the information at the website above and other information that you have located, create a policy and procedure for risk management and patient safety for the HIM department. Be sure that you policy and procedure are in the appropriate format.
