Question: Instructions: You are to create and present a persuasive speech addressing a question of policy using Monroe's Motivated Sequence, on a subject of your choosing citing a minimum of 3 external sources in both the outline and the speech.

Your topic must specifically endorse or reject a policy proposal under consideration by the current Presidential administration or the federal legislature. Sample Topics:

The US should engage in military action against Syria.

The US should not engage in military action against Syria.

The US should bar entry by refugees that come from countries experiencing radical terrorism.

The US should bar not bar entry by refugees that come from countries experiencing radical terrorism.

The US should more strictly enforce federal marijuana laws.

Topics you may not select: Abortion and any speech that involves a product for which you may be compensated (basically, no sales speeches). Should any of these be the subject of your speech, you will receive a failing grade. Or if your topic does not meet the previously listed parameters for the speech, you will also receive a failing grade,
