Web Technologies Assignment
For this exercise, you will create a personal web site with at least 5 Web pages. (It may have more than 5 pages). You can use some or all technologies mentioned above. For example, you may use JavaScript or PHP or both for the development. Read all instructions very carefully.
1. Page 1 is your home page and should have navigation to your other pages. This file should be edited as pure HTML. You are encouraged to name your home page "index.htm". You will not use any CSS templates for this work.
2. Pages 2 & 3 should be "special interest" pages - probably related to something of personal interest to you. These pages can contain text, pictures, descriptions, graphs, etc., and should have interesting CSS styles. Also, you should use external CSS to manage the format for all the pages. Try to minimize inline and internal CSS styles. This page should be "hot linked" from your home page. (A website with the centralized interface will be given advantage)
3. Page 4 should be your Resume page. Create your resume as HTML page. Note: while there is no requirement to create a professional quality résumé, this is an opportunity to make one.
4. Page 5 should be "contact me" page. This page may store your:
i) email id
ii) phone number
iii) home page address
iv) feedback
Create a proper HTML form for getting inputs from the visitors and respond them back.
5. Your web project should contain at least two separate tables: (1) one to display text and/or numeric information in tabular format showing gridlines and
borders, and (2) one to assist in organizing a web page (Web Page Layout) where the table lines and borders do not show on the web page.
6. The text for hotlinks should be a different color from non-hotlink text; and the visited hotlink text should yet be a different color than before being visited. You may need to override the defaults for hotlink and visited hotlinks if the background or text on your pages are like the default colors of the hotlinks (as may be true on your special interest page described above). If there is not enough contrast between your background and the default hotlink colors, you should override the default hotlink colors.
7. Page 1 should have a background downloaded from another web site (Choose a website which has similar feel). Adjust the opacity of the background image so that it does not conflict with the main contents of the page.
8. Your web pages should demonstrate how to include text that is centered, italics, bold, different fonts, and sizes. Again, CSS may be helpful in managing this.
9. Your web site should have two or more pictures.
10. At least one picture or graphic should be a hotlink to another web site. That is, when you click on the image, it should take you to another web site.
11. Include at least two icons downloaded from another site. Examples: You can use Facebook, Instagram, YouTube icon at the bottom of the webpage and provide hyperlinks
12. Demonstrate the use of "within page navigation" in either page 1 or page 2.
13. Place an HTML comment near the top of each HTML page that includes your name, and the brief description of the purpose of the webpage. This will not be visible when viewing the web page in a browser but will be visible when someone looks at your source code.
14. The organization, appearance, style, and originality of your web site should be pleasing and professional - make it look very nice! As noted above, CSS should be used to control the appearance of the web pages.
15. Your web pages must be properly loaded on a Web Server and tested to ensure that they work correctly. do the pages load properly; all icons and pictures display properly; and all hotlinks work as they should. You must properly upload the URL on slate (Write the URL in the comment/description section).
