Write the given Two Part Question.

Part 1: Treatment

Create a new show from scratch and write the "pitch" to the Networks to convince them to produce your show. Your television show may be in any genre of your choice (sitcom, a reality show, a cartoon), anything that floats your boat; however, the show MUST be relevant to an American family that can consists of either a nuclear family, single-parent family, extended family or a joint family. It is your option which type of family you choose to make your television show about.

Treatment MUST include the following 10 basic parts:
•Author Name: This is you

•TITLE OF SHOW: Should be original, short, and sweet

•FORMAT OF SHOW: Cartoon, reality show, sitcom, drama, etc. about an American Family.

•Logline: A very short sum-up of your premise, or basic idea and description of your concept. Similar to what you might see in a TV Guide or on a poster for a movie, but a bit more descriptive of content. A logline is a distilled 2-3 sentences that represents your script's main conflict. It tells your readers who the protagonist is, what her or his super-objective is, what major action the protagonist may take, and what obstacle will obstruct the protagonist. It is written in beginning-middle-end format, and shorter is better.

•Characters: A description of your main characters, including actors you would like to cast if you want (include how the characters are related to one another if applicable). Here is an example: Mark (20) - A natural athlete, Mark was the star football player during his senior year and has always had an easy time with the ladies. Despite appearances, however, Elliot also has a huge insecurity complex born of his overbearing father, who is the mayor of Spring Bluffs. A big-hearted, lovable guy who would do absolutely anything for his closest friends, Mark is currently home from college recovering from a sports injury and hoping to romance his unrequited high school love, Virginia.

•Location(s)/Setting(s)/Historical Moment(s): Where and when does it take place?

•PRODUCTION STYLE: For example, is it naturalistic or antinaturalistic, single or multi-camera, single set or multiple sets, etc? Then explain your choices.

•TREATMENT/SYNOPSIS: A detailed description of your show as we would see it on TV. Where it takes place, storylines, what happens in a typical episode, etc.

•Target Audience: State the demographic predictions of your audience, and rationalize this prediction by identifying specific emotional and intellectual needs that your project will fulfill for your audience. Refer to any of these demographic attributes: age/generation, location, gender, sexual, religious or political orientation, education level, common social interest, marital status, etc.

•Possible advertisers: All Network TV shows have to be paid for, and your show is no exception. Based on your premise and intended audience, suggest five potential sponsors for your show, and explain why they might want to pay for your show to be produced.

Part 2: PowerPoint Presentation
•Your PowerPoint must have at least 10 slides (not counting an Intro slide with your name and the name of the assignment, etc.), covering the materials from your Treatment.

•Create a PowerPoint to "pitch" your idea to the Network. Your slides and information must "sell" your Treatment, so think about what is most important to get across in a detailed, yet concise manner. In other words, the Network doesn't have all day to read pages and pages of filler-so your slides should be creative, colorful, specific, and to the point.

•It's important to be efficient with your descriptions, yet give enough information to provoke interest of the Network. The golden rule: Show a potential audience what we will be watching and entice the "network" to buy your show.
