This proposal will help provide a roadmap for your final art project due at the end of the semester and will help inform your reflection journal. Remember, that throughout this semester you are expected to create a new piece of art in any medium you choose. We understand that this is the initial phase in the process, and that this proposal might change as you undertake the project. Please answer the following 5 questions:

What is the issue that you want to respond to in your art project (racism, colonialism, self-care, discrimination, immigration detention, gender issues, LGBTQI+ issues, etc...)? Please try to be as specific as possible. Are you responding to a general issue that interests you, or does this issue impact you on a personal level?
Why have you chosen the above topic?
How will you approach this topic through this art project? Generally speaking, what is your idea for your art project? How do you plan to communicate your perspectives and execute your idea through this project? Do you foresee any challenges to do so effectively?
What medium have you chosen? Why did you choose this medium? Do you foresee any challenges with using this medium?
What is one concern you have with this art project? What is a possible strategy you can employ to counter this concern?
