Loading Data to the EmployeeDW -

Assignment Instructions - Use the EmployeeDW data warehouse database you created for the Week 6 assignment or create a new EmployeeDW data warehouse database using attached script.

Create staging tables and load them with the data from the MariaDB employees database.

Take a screenshot of each, showing that they were created and loaded, as required.

Create a stored procedure that will handle subsequent loads to these staging tables.

Create a SQL Server Agent job to run the new stored procedure.

Perform the initial Dimension and Fact table data loads using the staging tables.

Create subsequent data updates using the Import and Export Wizard by creating dtsx (Integration Services packages).

The work for this assignment is now complete. However, if you want to open the dtsx package that you just created in Visual Studio for Integration Services, you can follow the instructions. Once you have copied the zip file to the Immersion server, Extract All to the default folder and then run the SSDTSetup.exe file in the new SSDTSetup folder. Once the installation completes, open Visual Studio and choose New Project. From the Templates that come up, choose Integration Services Project on click OK. If you have any questions or issues, please let me know and I will assist. I have week 6 to start this with to upload and all of the files noted here as well.
