Create a literary/historical meme in the style of the Sparknotes' Twitter (Links to an external site.), Instagram (Links to an external site.), or TikTok (Links to an external site.) accounts, as well as other similarly academically-inspired social media posts. These accounts are successful because they can concisely (and humorously) convey key ideas, which inevitably requires a thorough understanding of the relevant course content.

For our purposes here, I am using "meme" as a catch-all term for any media composed specifically to entertain an audience through a social media platform. So this could be a tweet, an image, a TikTok, etc. 

1. Submit meme.
2. Write a brief analysis (500 words minimum) in which you explain your reference, why you employed the medium and meme format you used, and why the meme is funny/relatable/amusing/etc. to an audience familiar with the context or source material. Your writing should follow the conventions of academic writing, most notably through organization in reader-centered paragraphs that convey discrete ideas.

Due to the multimedia nature of this assignment, you will need to carefully review the following guidelines regarding the submission of your meme:

• If your meme is an image, you can simply include that image in the same Word document as the accompanying analysis.
• If your meme is a social media post (such as a tweet), you can take a screenshot (Links to an external site.) of the post and include the resulting image in the same Word document as the accompanying analysis.
• Alternatively, you are welcome to upload a video to YouTube, TikTok, or another hosting platform (such as Google Drive) and include a link in your Word document.
