1. The product I chose are the Parish Magic Line cake pans. These pans can be found online and used by home bakers. The pans are a great buy and if cared for properly will last years. Many bakers buy products that are easy to use, clean, and will give them years of use.
There is no advertising for this brand of baking pans, and I think that there should be. I also feel that they should advertise more for the younger generation of girls and boys who enjoy baking.
Magic Lines pans are all silver. Maybe they could create a line of colorful pans just for kids. There are even cooking shows dedicated to finding kids who love to and aspire to be chefs. I think it would be a great investment and show the world that they are just not for experienced bakers.
According to Bisio (2017), economic and social factors continue to make baking important teeters toward more self-reliance, a return to simplicity and to draw more and more people, including many young people, towards home baking.
2. I am going to discuss a company called Casper. Perry (2018) gives detail that Casper is a company known for their sell of mattresses-in-a-box. The CEO of this company noticed the rising competition of selling mattresses even after becoming a lead seller in 2014 with the online industry.
A decision had to be made if Casper was to continue to thrive. According to an article titled The Contributions of Marketing To Strategic Management, "Strategy is the choice of markets the firm will attempt to serve, or a choice about the scope of the firm's domain, including decisions about expansion, defense, and contraction of that domain" (Biggadike, 1981). Philip Krim, Casper's CEO had to make a strategic management choice to expand their brand. Perry (2018) indicated that Casper launched a new brand of bedding in the online industry.
As the bedding industry continues to grow and creates competition Casper is not yet ready to back down from their goal of being lead sellers. This company is not only online but they also have 18 temporary locations with plans of opening 200 more stores within the next three years including making the 18 temporary locations permanent locations. Casper is striving to change their environment and to influence this industry to grow and innovate.
As long as Casper continue to influence the right target market while making their product available in all the right places, they will be remain successful. The continued success of this company also relies on continued promotion of the products to come while keeping things at an affordable price.
